I have to give credit to the cops, they seem to have showed extreme restraint given the situation. This turned out about as well as it could have, no one dead and only one injured.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I hope the kid gets the help he needs, because it almost sounds like this was a suicide by cop attempt based on the event descriptions.

Good job by the SRO. I’ve gotten to know the SRO at my kids middle school. It’s not a job I would want.

That cop is going to be on leave for a long time. These are the worst situations in a cop's career, especially if a youth is involved. I hope the kid recovers quickly.
